Angelica Hughes, aka A.N.Hughes
Novelist and children’s book writer Angelica Hughes brings her creative background to her books, infusing them with magic realism, time travel, and the type of whimsy that only comes from an adult who refuses to grow up (see Disneyland pic below for evidence). Born and raised in California, Angelica grew up with a love for books, writing, performing as a musician and singer, and, after high school, traveling extensively with her Navy husband.
In college, she majored in piano performance and spent her days performing, collaborating, and writing several musicals for her nonprofit children’s theater. As her two children grew, Angelica was inspired to write stories that captured their particular interests. That inspiration led to two series for kids: The Time Travelers and The Society of Bones.
Fast forward to the present day, and Angelica is three classes away from her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Her first full length novel, May You Live Until You Die, will result from that year and a half incredible learning experience.
Angelica is always on the search for greats: great books, great coffee, great travel destinations, great music, and, of course, great food. She loves experiencing life with her husband and kids, whether at her home in Northern Virginia, or out in the world on adventures.
